Over the past four years, Vanish has been a dedicated supporter of Dress for Success, contributing through fundraising events, marketing assistance, and donations exceeding $450,000.
These efforts have been instrumental in helping approximately 1800 Dress for Success clients to find meaningful employment thereby promoting economic independence and empowerment among women in our community and to prolong the life of their donated professional attire,
Through media contributions, product donations, sponsorship of key events, and activations in retail stores, Vanish has not only strengthened its brand reputation and increased sales but has also played a crucial role in advancing social responsibility and sustainability.
This partnership is deeply integrated, reflecting shared organisational values. Especially in times of economic challenges such as the current recession facing New Zealand, this collaboration holds even greater significance in supporting and uplifting women in our community.
I derive profound fulfillment from leveraging my voice and leadership role to champion the vision and purpose of Reckitt and Vanish. The collective achievements and transformative impact on Dress for Success clients and the broader New Zealand community resonate deeply with me. Their stories inspire a profound sense of purpose and drive, reinforcing my unwavering commitment to promoting meaningful change through our initiatives in social responsibility.
Partnership Selection

Dress for Success plays a crucial role in empowering women by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to achieve economic independence.
One of the key reasons Vanish partnered with Dress for Success was their provision of professional attire to women in need, enabling them to make a strong first impression during job interviews and in the workplace.
This synergy with Vanish is natural – just as Vanish helps you look after your clothes so you can wear them longer, Dress for Success ensures that donated workwear serves others for longer, promoting sustainability and community support. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
Key Partnership Highlights
Auckland 25th Anniversary Gala 2024
Vanish New Zealand is a long-time supporter and proud Platinum Sponsor of the Dress for Success Auckland 25th Anniversary event on Saturday 22nd June. Together, we can help clothes live many lives and feel empowered to look and feel our best.
The event will take people into a world of empowerment, inspiration, and fashion as we reflect on Dress for Success’ incredible journey of empowering women across Auckland over the past 25 years.
Essjay 11 and mum Angela were winners of the Vanish Landfill Challenge with Dress for Success Bay of Plenty back in 2022, and Vanish has sponsored Essjay to work up a new collection showcasing his interpretation of the Future of Workwear, using recycled pre-loved clothing. We can’t wait to see his designs on the runway again!
Once again as a platinum sponsor I will be giving the key note address at the event on behalf of Vanish.

Wellington Dress for Success Fundraiser 2023
The Wellington Dress for Success fundraiser took place at The British High Commission in Wellington in 2023. The event showcased models who had previously benefited from the DfS program, spotlighting a diverse range of looks curated from donated clothing.
As platinum sponsor on behalf on Vanish I gave a keynote address highlighting the urgent need for charities such as Dress for Success and the incredible work they do for our communities. The event culminated in an auction where Vanish had donated a new washing machine and gift hamper of one year of Vanish products.

Bay of Plenty Recycle the Runway 2022

Recycle the Runway was a community fundraiser event for Dress For Success Bay of Plenty in 2022.
Local designers and dressmakers rose to the challenge by crafting unique, one-of-a-kind garments from pre-loved and recycled materials.
As a key sponsor of the event, there was a Landfill Challenge sponsored by Vanish, where designers transformed cleaned rubbish or waste using Vanish products into innovative fashion pieces.
Vanish also sponsored guest judge Leonie Barlow, an influencer who had appeared on Vanish advertising campaigns to give live Instagram updates and provided prizes for the winners of the event including Spotlight vouchers and a washing machine.
TV and Digital Campaign 2021
In 2021, we produced a 6″ tag featured at the end of every Vanish ad, emphasising our partnership with Dress for Success. This collaborative effort aimed to raise awareness and support for Dress for Success’s mission while showcasing Vanish’s commitment to social responsibility.
In store activations
Across the four years of the partnership Vanish has activated the partnership across our retailer parters Countdown, Super Value and New World donating up to 50c to unit sold directly to support Dress for Success.
